Importing Vistro update data
Note: Since Vistro networks always have a co-ordinate system, you must also specify a co-ordinate system in the Visum network you import into (Selecting a coordinate system). |
1. From the File menu, select the Import > Vistro-Update entry.
The Import a Vistro update file window opens.
2. Make the desired changes.

Import data |
Signalization If the option is selected, you can import signalization data with or without node geometry (Notes on the imported Vistro update data). Note We recommend importing the data including geometry, since an incorrect import may occur if the geometry deviates from the Vistro network. Turn volumes Optionally, you can also import turn volumes. Notes The assignment of Vistro nodes to Visum nodes is based on co-ordinates by default. However, you can choose a different base. The node number of the imported node in the source network is written to the user-defined VISTRO_MERGE_INTERSECTIONNO attribute of the destination node. For example, if you repeat the import of a Vistro update at regular intervals, the Vistro node number is stored in the Visum network and can be assigned via the user-defined attribute during further imports. |
Filter for node selection |
For the import, you can choose a filter in the form of a polygonal object. This will only import nodes within this range. Routes that are completely within the range will also be imported. Import all nodes of the source network All nodes are transferred with their geometry. Import only the nodes within the surface of the selected object Only nodes within the area of the selected reference object are imported. |
Extended |
The button opens a window in which you can make further import settings for weights, links, and the allocation of nodes (More settings). |
Save parameters / Open parameters |
Using the buttons you can save your settings in an *.vuip file or open saved settings. |
Reset | Deletes all entries in the window. |
3. Confirm with OK.
The Vistro Update data is imported.
Note: Each import generates a model transfer file, which gives an overview of the changes in the Visum model after the import. If you want to keep this file beyond the import, you have to save it manually. |

Allocation to nodes and legs |
This is where you make settings for mapping to the target network based on various criteria. Use Vistro node number for allocation to nodes If the option is selected, the Vistro node numbers are compared with the attribute value of the node in the target network specified under comparison attribute. Comparison attribute for node You can use the search field to select a node attribute that will be used as a comparison attribute during import. If the Mandatory option is selected, data is only imported if the value of the set comparison attribute matches or if the value is empty. If you select Not mandatory, not only the comparison attribute but also other criteria determine the allocation to nodes in the target network. Use co-ordinates for the allocation to nodes If the option is selected, the co-ordinates of the nodes are taken into account for the allocation. Maximum deviation of co-ordinates Enter the maximum deviation If a node is further away than the maximum deviation, it is not allocated. |
Weights |
By entering factors, you can weight the criteria by which nodes and associated legs are selected in the target network. Note Missing nodes and links are added to the Visum network. In contrast to the import of Vistro files, only the course of links - if not interrupted by intermediate nodes -, the number of lanes, and the PrT transport systems are adjusted. |
Handling of links |
In addition to node data, links and the links of the Vistro network optimization are also transferred. Missing links are newly inserted in the target network. Select a link type for newly inserted links. Note Link capacities and speeds of the Visum network are neither changed nor set for newly added links. |
